Cristina Rodrigues has spent 25 years at Capgemini, transforming challenges into achievements. Starting her career in finance, she joined Capgemini Portugal in 2000 at the age of 29, tasked with turning around the struggling branch. Her success in reversing negative results led to her appointment as CFO in 2009, making her the first woman in Capgemini's European cluster to hold the role.
In 2018, Rodrigues became CEO of Capgemini Portugal, taking on leadership during a pivotal moment. A week into her role, the company lost its largest client, a setback she views as a lesson in resilience. “A leader must step forward in times of failure,” she shared in an interview.
Under her guidance, Capgemini Portugal has grown significantly, managing over 4,000 specialists from more than 50 nationalities. Her focus on talent acquisition saw 500 new hires in early 2023, with plans for more in key areas.
Rodrigues has earned recognition for her leadership, ranking fourth in Forbes Portugal’s Services category in 2024 and previously being named the top leader in the private sector in 2020.
Her leadership style emphasizes innovation, diversity, and nurturing young talent, with women making up 35% of Capgemini’s workforce. Cristina Rodrigues continues to set an example of transformative leadership in a competitive industry.
