Coralogix Acquires Aporia in $50M Deal to Enhance AI Transparency and Security

In a strategic move to bolster AI system transparency, Israeli data analytics company Coralogix has acquired Aporia, an Israeli startup specializing in AI observability. The deal, valued at an estimated $50 million, includes a mix of cash and shares, further expanding Coralogix’s capabilities in the rapidly growing field of AI monitoring.

As part of the acquisition, Coralogix will establish Coralogix AI, a new research and development center dedicated to monitoring and securing AI systems. The entire Aporia team will join Coralogix’s offices, where they will integrate their technology to enhance AI transparency, safety, and control. Liran Hason, CEO of Aporia, and Alon Gubkin, the startup's CTO, will continue their leadership roles, overseeing the new AI center.

Coralogix plans to invest tens of millions of dollars in the AI center to address fundamental issues in AI development, including transparency and ethical monitoring. The company aims to ensure the responsible use of AI by creating more reliable, safe, and fair systems. Aporia's platform, which has already raised $30 million from investors such as Tiger Global, Samsung Next, and Vertex Ventures, provides organizations with the tools to manage, oversee, and control their AI systems. The platform can detect a wide range of errors, from biases and data inconsistencies in classical models to hallucinations and security issues in generative AI systems. It also offers full transparency into the decision-making processes of AI models.

Founded in 2015, Coralogix has raised $238 million and developed a leading observability platform used by thousands of companies worldwide. The company was valued at $900 million following a $142 million Series D funding round in 2022. Coralogix’s platform helps software development teams monitor and analyze data generated by their systems, and this acquisition further strengthens their AI capabilities.

Ariel Assaraf, CEO of Coralogix, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating, "With the technology and expertise of Aporia, hundreds of AI teams already using Coralogix will be able to enjoy transparency, protection, and high-quality control over their AI systems." Coralogix also sees the acquisition as an opportunity to leverage Israel’s wealth of AI and cybersecurity talent to build an advanced, data-rich environment for the new AI research center.

Liran Hason, CEO of Aporia, expressed excitement about the expansion, noting that the connection with Coralogix would enable the company to accelerate its mission of ensuring the safe and reliable use of AI worldwide. Hason’s background in cybersecurity, including his leadership of a team that won the Israel Security Award, further strengthens Aporia’s focus on secure AI applications.

This acquisition marks a significant step for both Coralogix and Aporia as they work together to shape the future of AI observability and security.
