Cloudflare has big plans for 2026: the North American cybersecurity company will hire 1,111 interns globally, with around 25% (≈277) joining its Lisbon hub.
Despite CEO Matthew Prince voicing frustration over Portugal’s slow work visa processes, Lisbon remains a strategic hub. The city, where Cloudflare has been present since 2018, already hosted 20 interns this summer across R&D, Software Engineering, Security, and Research teams.
🌍 Cloudflare sees internships not just as training, but as a way to bring fresh perspectives in the AI-driven workplace transformation. The company also revealed that around 50% of interns are expected to transition into full-time roles.
✨ Networking, executive fireside chats, cross-functional projects, and even fun activities like escape rooms make this program stand out — preparing the next generation of tech leaders.
