Valongo is set to welcome a major investment from AOSHENG HI-TECH, a leading Chinese high-tech company specializing in components for the wind energy sector. The company will establish a carbon fiber components factory for wind turbine blades in Campo, Panattoni Park, with an investment of €17.6 million.
The project is expected to create 200 new jobs, with recruitment beginning this year. The factory is scheduled to start operations in 2026.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Mayor José Manuel Ribeiro, Vice-Mayor Paulo Esteves Ferreira, and Johnny WQ Xu, President of AOSHENG HI-TECH, along with representatives from AICEP (Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal).
This investment reinforces Valongo’s growing appeal as a hub for high-tech and renewable energy industries, bringing new opportunities to the region.
