Guillaume Pousaz, billionaire founder of online payments company Checkout.com, has joined a growing trend of ultra-wealthy individuals relocating away from the UK due to rising taxes targeting the richest residents.
According to UK registry filings, the 43-year-old Pousaz now lists Monaco as his primary residence, after previously living in the UK and the United Arab Emirates. His net worth is estimated at around $5.6 billion, driven by his London-based tech company, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Checkout.com previously operated a physical tech hub in Porto, Portugal, which has since been closed.
