CGI Set to Acquire Apside, Boosting Presence Across Europe and Beyond

CGI, one of the world’s largest independent IT and business consulting firms, has entered into an exclusive agreement to acquire French digital and engineering services leader Apside. The deal, signed with shareholders Siparex and Crédit Agricole Group entities, strengthens CGI’s footprint in Europe and bolsters its capabilities in key sectors such as manufacturing, financial services, and insurance.

Apside, with nearly five decades of experience and more than 300 clients worldwide, brings a workforce of 2,500 professionals across 28 offices in six countries—including Portugal, Belgium, and Morocco. This acquisition deepens CGI’s end-to-end service offerings with engineering expertise, while reinforcing shared values of client proximity and operational excellence.

The transaction is expected to close in June 2025, pending regulatory approvals and employee consultations. Both companies see the merger as a natural step forward, rooted in complementary skills, shared culture, and a mutual commitment to innovation.
