Carmo Palma Wins Microsoft Power Women Award

Carmo Palma, Managing Director at Axians Portugal, has been recognized as the Portuguese winner of the 2025 Microsoft Power Women Awards, an international initiative honoring female leaders in Microsoft's partner ecosystem.

With over 30 years in the ICT sector, Carmo is celebrated for her people-focused leadership, promotion of diverse teams, and commitment to sustainable digital transformation. At Axians, she leads 600 professionals across key areas like AI, data, and business applications.

Palma’s unconventional yet steady career path began at Deloitte, followed by 15 years at Novabase, and since 2020, she has led Axians Portugal after its acquisition of Novabase Digital.

She has overseen major projects in public administration, transport, industry, and energy—in Portugal and internationally—and actively supports inclusive leadership and gender equality in tech.

The Microsoft Power Women Awards, in partnership with INSEAD, aim to inspire, empower, and transform the tech sector by spotlighting women driving change. Palma, along with other winners from across 20 countries, will join a leadership program at INSEAD, designed to enhance female representation in STEM leadership, where women still hold less than 10% of top roles globally.
