Capgemini has announced it has signed an agreement to buy Cloud4C, a cloud services company based in Singapore, which is owned by CtrlS Group. The details about how much the deal is worth have not been shared. Cloud4C is based in Hyderabad and was started in 2014 by Sridhar Pinnapureddy, who is also the founder and CEO of CtrlS. The company is known for its work in automation, hybrid and sovereign cloud services, AI-ready platforms, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and compliance for different industries.
The deal is expected to be completed in the next few months after getting the necessary approvals from regulators.
Cloud4C has 1,600 employees across 29 countries and will add valuable knowledge and skills to Capgemini's global cloud offerings. Capgemini says this deal will also help them sell more services to their current clients and support the creation of industry-specific tools, intellectual property, and generative AI solutions for cloud management and smooth transitions.
This acquisition comes after a number of other strategic moves by Capgemini, including its $3.3 billion purchase of WNS in July, the acquisition of Delta Capita in April, which focuses on financial crime compliance, and Syniti in August 2024, which specializes in data quality, migration, and governance.
As the technology services industry faces challenges due to AI changes, experts believe there will be more mergers and acquisitions in the next three to five years.
