Caixa Geral de Depósitos is now an official patron of Escola 42, the innovative, tuition-free programming school redefining tech education worldwide. The partnership was sealed in Lisbon by Caixa’s executive director, Madalena Talone, and 42’s founder, Pedro Santa Clara.
With a presence in 32 countries, 42 has been in Portugal since 2020, offering inclusive, hands-on coding education to anyone over 18—no prior academic or professional experience required.
This partnership will not only support the school financially but also foster collaboration in recruitment and upskilling Caixa’s teams in tech and AI. It aligns with Caixa’s broader investment in digital talent, including its recently launched Tech Hub in Porto.
Since 1994, Caixa has supported higher education across Portugal, and this new alliance reinforces its commitment to innovation, inclusion, and future-ready skills.
