Blastness, a hotel tech firm with a big footprint in Portugal, just snagged the title of world's best central reservation system (CRS) at the HotelTechAwards 2026. These awards, now in their eighth year, are based on more than 80,000 real reviews from over 2.5 million hospitality pros in 120 countries.
Besides their CRS win, Blastness's booking engine and revenue management system (RMS) also landed in the global Top 10. This shows how well their platform works as a whole and how innovative it is.
From 2019 to 2025, bookings through Blastness went up by 64%, hitting over €2 billion each year. Direct bookings made through hotel websites shot up by 104%, which is way faster than the growth from online travel agencies (OTAs). By 2025, Blastness expects its clients' direct sales to make up 30% of the market, getting close to Booking.com's 42% and beating all other OTAs put together.
Blastness, run from its Portugal office, helps over 2,000 hotels with tools powered by AI for managing revenue, distribution, and marketing. They're growing around the world, with plans to start new operations in the UAE, UK, and USA.
Andrea Delfini, CEO of Blastness, said, Being in the world's top 10 confirms we are doing what we set out to do, to give hotels the systems and advice they need to be more competitive and profitable.
