After many years of buying other companies and getting over €112 million in funding since 2013, the Portuguese AI translation company Unbabel is now trying to find a new owner.
This happens after they couldn’t get more money from Iberis Capital.
Former workers say things are getting worse: clients are leaving, the company is changing its structure often, and they’re signing new deals for less money.
One former employee said, “People are worried,” showing that hopes for Unbabel’s success as a unicorn are starting to disappear.
