Accenture to Acquire Japan-based Digital Firm Yumemi

Accenture has announced its agreement to acquire Yumemi, a prominent Japanese digital services company, to boost its ability to design and launch innovative digital products at scale. Yumemi brings a team of 400 professionals and a portfolio of work with over 600 companies, reaching 60 million monthly active users globally.

Yumemi will join Accenture Song, the company’s creative and tech-led experience group. The move is expected to strengthen Accenture’s capacity in data analytics, generative AI, and end-to-end digital product development, especially in Japan’s fast-growing digital transformation market (CAGR 9.6% through 2028).

Accenture Japan CEO Atsushi Egawa highlighted Yumemi’s agile culture and engineering-led design process as key assets. Yumemi CEO Toshiyuki Kataoka emphasized cultural alignment and a shared vision for crafting transformative, user-centric digital services.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Completion is subject to customary conditions.
