Role Description

Why this role?

Snyk’s web presence is expanding fast and we’re looking for an Associate Web Developer to help bring our brand and stories to life across our global sites. You’ll join a small, high-impact team that owns all Snyk web environments and helps shape how developers and enterprises discover our AI-native Developer Security Platform.

This is a hands-on, growth-oriented role for someone who loves building with modern frameworks, collaborating with creative teams, and learning from experienced engineers. You’ll work in our Lisbon hub, partnering with design, content, and marketing to create seamless, secure, and high-performing digital experiences.

What You’ll Do:

- Build and maintain pages for snyk.io, community and campaign microsites/subdomains using Next.js, React, and headless CMSs (Contentful, Sanity, or Contentstack)

- Translate creative designs into clean, performant, and accessible code

- Monitor website performance and support optimisations that improve speed and reliability

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with support from senior developers

- Work in collaboration with more senior web developers on strategic projects

- Partner with design and brand teams to implement new user experiences

- Contribute to A/B testing and personalisation experiments

- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain a scalable, developer-friendly website infrastructure

Main Requirements

What You Bring:

- 1–3+ years’ experience as a Web or Front-End Developer

- Hands-on experience with Next.js, React, GraphQL, and headless CMSs

- Solid understanding of CSS (SCSS is a plus) and responsive design

- A collaborative, proactive approach and eagerness to learn new technologies

- Strong communication and curiosity to understand the “why” behind design and marketing decisions

Nice to Have

It’d Be Awesome If You Also…

- Have experience with Vercel, A/B testing tools, or marketing site performance analytics

- Have familiarity/experience with Python

- Have experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)

- Are familiar with accessibility standards and SEO principles

- Love learning from peers and mentoring others over time

- Are passionate about developer tools, security, and open source
