Job Description
A leading European organization is strengthening its teams in the areas of cybersecurity, IT risk management, and digital fraud prevention. This position is part of a global Cybersecurity & Digital Fraud department, working from Portugal as an extension of the central team.
Main Mission
Support Enterprise Security activities with a strong focus on Data Security and Cryptography, contributing to defining standards, assessing risks, and guiding internal entities on secure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define security requirements and strategy for data security and cryptography across the group.
- Support subsidiaries in implementing data protection and cryptographic measures.
- Analyze security risks and recommend additional countermeasures.
- Participate in technical POCs involving new and emerging technologies.
- Conduct technology research and contribute to internal security community development.
- Work on topics such as:
- Data protection at rest and in transit, data masking, anonymization.
- Cryptography in private, public, and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, IBM, O365).
- Cryptographic key management (HSM, CKMS, secret management).
- Digital signatures.
- Security for Data Science environments (Data Labs, Big Data).
- Post‑quantum cryptography and crypto‑agility.
Key Tasks
- Assess the robustness of system designs and data protection mechanisms.
- Develop guidelines for the use of Blockchain technologies.
- Collaborate with expert groups in cryptography and data security.
- Guide projects toward the best data security techniques depending on the use case.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation measures.
- Define security requirements for data protection and cryptography.
- Suggest approaches for cryptographic asset inventory and crypto‑agility.
Qualifications
- IT risk and cybersecurity knowledge.
- Understanding of cryptography concepts and enterprise-level applications.
- Basic knowledge of quantum computing and its security implications.
- Awareness of the current cybersecurity landscape.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS.

- English (mandatory).
