What is this challenge about
- Build and maintain solutions on GCP to transform monolithic applications into microservices architectures.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for high availability, security, and performance.
- Create and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
- Apply GitOps principles for declarative, version-controlled infrastructure and application deployments.
- Use Docker to containerize applications and orchestrate deployments on GKE clusters.
- Work with development, QA, and operations teams to optimize deployment workflows and improve release velocity.
- Use Terraform or similar tools to provision and manage cloud resources.
- Ensure reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support security and compliance initiatives for cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
- Utilize Flyway or similar tools for database schema migrations within CI/CD pipelines.

What we are looking for
- Strong experience with Kubernetes administration, specifically Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- 3 to 6 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI/CD.
- Solid understanding of GitOps methodologies and practical implementation experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Familiarity with cloud networking, security best practices, and cloud service management.
- Experience modernizing monolithic applications to microservices is a plus.
