Job Title: Chief Architect

Reports to: CEO / CTO
Role Summary
The Chief Architect is responsible for defining, maintaining, and communicating the company’s global technology architecture across all products, systems, and infrastructures. This role ensures alignment between business strategy and technical implementation, acting as a bridge between the various product CTOs, development teams, and executive leadership.
The Chief Architect will lead the design of scalable, secure, and interoperable systems that support the company’s AI-driven and data-oriented vision, ensuring technological coherence across platforms while promoting innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and maintain the global technology architecture roadmap in alignment with the company’s strategic vision.
- Ensure consistency and scalability across all products, platforms, and services.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and team leaders to guide architectural decisions that balance innovation, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
- Establish architecture governance frameworks, technical standards, and documentation best practices.
Systems and Integration
- Oversee integration strategies across products.
- Ensure architectural compliance with GDPR, CNPD, and other applicable data protection and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance the product portfolio and operational efficiency.
- Define and implement an API-based architecture with an AI-driven and data-first philosophy.
Technical Excellence
- Lead system architecture definition, audits, and technology assessments.
- Define system interfaces, APIs, data flow standards, and integration patterns.
- Promote DevSecOps, MLOps, and cloud-native principles across development teams.
- Support AI and automation initiatives by defining data architecture and model integration strategies.
Collaboration and Mentorship
- Act as a mentor and technical advisor to development teams.
- Facilitate communication between product teams and ensure technological alignment.
- Contribute to talent development and technical training within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software architecture, including leadership of complex and distributed systems.
- Proven experience in designing scalable cloud and SaaS solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AI architecture, data engineering, and integration frameworks.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Experience in team management and leadership.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in English (Portuguese is a plus).
