Based in the heart of Lisbon (hybrid regime), we’re transforming the world of insurance by infusing it with cutting-edge AI and automation. Insurance is one of the last traditional sectors—still run with paper, phone calls, and manual workflows. At Frank, we’re changing that. Our AI-first approach saves agents hours of work so they can focus on clients and growing their business.

What you’ll do:

- Build with AI in mind: Design and develop robust software systems that integrate or leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs, vision models, or automation APIs) to enhance insurance workflows.

- Prototype and scale AI features: Help build and test fast iterations of AI-powered features, from document parsing to intelligent assistants and automated decision-making.

- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product to turn ideas into functional, delightful user experiences.

- Optimize and improve: Identify bottlenecks and scale intelligent systems to production-level performance.

- Contribute to innovation: Bring your perspective on how to use AI to solve real-world problems in a highly operational, human-centred industry.

Who you are:

- Experience: +3 years of professional or academic experience building software, ideally with exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or tools like LangChain, OpenAI, HuggingFace, or similar.

- Technical foundation: Comfortable in Python, and familiar with AI/ML libraries or APIs.

- Builder mindset: Curious, experimental, and pragmatic—able to ship and iterate quickly.

- Problem-Solver: You enjoy thinking through ambiguous, real-world problems where AI can provide leverage.

- Collaborator: You thrive in a team setting, communicate well, and enjoy the fast pace of startups.

- Location: Based in Lisbon or happy to join us in our office up to 2 days per week.

Bonus Points:

- Experience with prompt engineering or fine-tuning LLMs.

- Experience integrating AI into full-stack applications.

- Familiarity with AWS Services, Docker, Git, and cloud deployment.
