Data Platform DevOps Engineer

What you will be doing:

- Design, build and support the infrastructure to support applications and supporting systems

- Help to define standards and best practices and how internal and external IT teams should adopt them

- Provide support around Identity and Access management lifecycles

- Support CI/CD tooling for technical teams to be able to build and deploy using pipelines

- Run our infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform

- Make monitoring and alerting alerts on symptoms and not on outages (application and infrastructure in all environments)

- Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions–and then into automation

- Improve the deployment process

- Design, build and maintain core infrastructure pieces that allow scaling

- Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack

- Plan the growth of infrastructure

- Contributions to the handbook, runbooks, and general documentation.

What we are looking for:

- Experience working with highly available, distributed systems and services in a cloud environment and defining, developing and rolling out technical operations processes and new services

- Expertise with Kubernetes and Elasticsearch

- Experience with CI/CD, preferably Jenkins and Gitlab CI

- Good hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, IAM, S3, EKS, VPC, Load Balancers, SSL Certificates, Security

- Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform

- Experience with working/implementing monitoring/observability solutions (preferably Grafana or Prometheus)

- Good coding skills for DevOps, like Python, Bash or any other programming language

- Good understanding of security features and best practices

- Passionate about continuous improvement and collaboration

- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills

- Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English

- Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.

What will be a plus:

- Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)

- Experience with Docker and Python

- Experience with AWS Data persistence services, Lake formation, Data Analytics Services

- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
