Terradue uses satellite data to quickly help during disasters. Started by two Portuguese scientists, the company has created a system that turns satellite information into useful ideas in less than 80 minutes.
Based in Rome, Terradue has helped with more than 220 emergency situations, including earthquakes, floods, and landslides. When there were big floods in Spain in 2024, Terradue’s tools helped officials plan evacuations quickly.
In Nigeria, they made maps of the Benue River area to improve emergency plans. Terradue works with the European Space Agency and the European Commission and is now looking to partner more with Portugal.
By being fast, accurate, and working with trusted groups, Terradue is becoming an important part of Europe’s geospatial innovations.
