Smartcat, a North American AI company with over 200 employees across 30+ countries, is steadily growing its presence in Portugal.
The startup, fully remote since 2020, already counts about ten professionals in the country and is actively hiring. Operating in the same space as Unbabel, Smartcat’s expansion signals increasing competition in Portugal’s AI-driven language services sector.
