Salvador Caetano Auto just announced they're partnering with Neolix Technologies, who are big in self-driving logistics vehicles, to speed up smart logistics in Europe.
Basically, they'll work together to get self-driving logistics solutions up to standard and running, starting with tests in Portugal. Neolix brings the self-driving tech and know-how from running things at scale, and Caetano Mobility knows the local market and rules inside and out.
Salvador Caetano Auto says this helps them build greener, smarter transport and shows they're serious about shaking things up in city and factory logistics. They'll kick things off with some test projects to see how Neolix's self-driving vehicles, like the RoboVan, fit into actual delivery systems.
The two companies are also planning to team up with officials to help create driving regulations for self-driving vehicles in Portugal, hoping to roll out these solutions across Europe.
Neolix already has over 15,000 self-driving vehicles going in 15 countries. Salvador Caetano Auto, is in 48 countries aims to be Neolix's go-to partner for growing in Europe.
