Portuguese TensorOps builds “army of AI agents” to counter cyberattacks for Armis

Portuguese tech company TensorOps has partnered with cybersecurity unicorn Armis to develop what its CEO calls a “mini-army” of AI agents designed to defend companies against AI-driven cyberattacks.

Armis — recently acquired by ServiceNow for $7.75 billion — is working with TensorOps on a proprietary AI agent system embedded within the Armis environment. While technical details remain confidential, CEO Cláudio Lemos says the capability does not currently exist on the market.

Fighting AI with AI

- According to Lemos, the cybersecurity landscape has shifted dramatically:

- Cyberattacks are increasingly executed by offensive AI agents

- Criminal and state-backed actors are automating attacks at scale

- Human-only response teams can no longer react fast enough

The solution? Defensive AI agents capable of monitoring, detecting and responding in real time — essentially AI versus AI.

TensorOps was founded in 2023 by Cláudio Lemos and Gad Benram, with a strong international focus from day one. Nearly all revenue comes from abroad, with Israel accounting for 67.5% of turnover. The company also serves clients in Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, the US and the UK, including brands such as Notion, KLA, JFrog, Seeking Alpha and Sports Illustrated.

Built in Portugal

The AI agent system for Armis is being developed by a Portugal-based team. TensorOps currently has 25 employees across Portugal, London, San Francisco and Tel Aviv, and has doubled in size over the past two years.

This new collaboration is expected to accelerate hiring, although specific numbers were not disclosed. The company is investing heavily in deep AI agent expertise — building capabilities in Portugal that, according to Lemos, “did not previously exist in the market.”

In a cybersecurity environment where automation is weaponized, TensorOps is betting that the only viable defense is smarter, faster automation on the other side.
