Portugal Tech Festival 2026: 300+ Technology Events Across the Country

If you’re into tech, mark November 6 to 15 on your calendar. Portugal Tech Week returns for its fifth edition with more than 300 events on technology and innovation, spread over cities from north to south. Think of it as a Portugal tech festival where the party isn’t confined to one venue.

What’s on the menu

The program mixes serious and playful formats: conferences, workshops, startup pitch competitions, networking sessions, AI-focused meetups, art events and even parties. The organizers say more than 90 events were already confirmed on the platform at the time of the announcement. Offerings target different areas and audiences, so a founder, a student and a curious newcomer can each find something.

The initiative is run by the Portuguese Association of Startups and takes place in the same week as the Web Summit. A key point for the organizers is staying active beyond the capital.

Technology events Portugal-wide

Nine cities have confirmed their programs: Porto, Beira Interior, Viana do Castelo, Beja, Madeira, Angra, Coimbra, Cascais and Lisbon. For anyone following technology events Portugal offers, that spread is a strong sign that the scene reaches well past Lisbon.

Highlights to watch

The Portugal Tech Week Palace runs from November 9 to 13. It brings lectures, panels, workshops, networking and end-of-day parties together in one agenda.

Another standout is the Electric Pitch by Remote, a competition held aboard a CARRIS tram in Lisbon. Twelve finalist startups will pitch to venture capital investors while the tram rolls along, a bit like speed dating for funding, with city views included.

Aiming higher

Marcelle Sartori, project leader at the Portuguese Association of Startups, says the goal for 2026 is to beat the previous edition’s results and reach more people. She wants to keep creating real chances for meeting, collaboration and discovery within the Portuguese tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Why it’s worth planning ahead

With innovation events in Portugal spread over ten days and so many formats, a little planning pays off. Pick a city, choose a format and leave room for surprises. If you want to see what else is coming up, browse startup events, and if you’re thinking about a career move while you’re there, remote tech jobs are another good thing to explore.
