NOS is preparing to move forward with a restructuring plan that will lead to job cuts, according to a report by Bloomberg. The Portuguese telecom operator is reportedly reshaping its organizational structure while expanding into new business areas.
Although some roles will be created as the company pivots into fresh segments, others are set to be eliminated. NOS, which employed over 1,800 people by the end of 2024, has yet to issue an official comment on the matter.
The news comes shortly after the company announced a record-breaking profit last year — up 50.6% to €273 million — adding a layer of complexity to the decision.
