InCentea Expands in Spain Despite Storm Kristin Disruptions

The Leiria-based tech company inCentea has acquired Dragomar, a Spanish firm in Almería specializing in enterprise management software, including a vertical for the fishing sector. This follows the group’s earlier acquisition of the Angolan arm of competitor F3M. The deal brings a dozen experienced IT and business consulting employees into the Portuguese group.

Strategic Growth in Spain

InCentea has a decade-long history in Spain, starting with Ardinova (2014) and later Extom (Madrid, Barcelona, Granada).

- Dragomar strengthens the company’s presence in Andalusia, particularly within the Cegid ecosystem.

- The group is eyeing opportunities in Catalonia due to its economic and technological relevance.

- Spain contributed nearly €3 million to the group’s turnover last year.

Brazil Acquisition in Progress

InCentea is also in advanced talks to acquire a Brazilian company, with an official announcement expected by the end of February.

International markets currently account for about a third of the company’s business, which spans offices in Spain, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and Brazil.

Storm Kristin Impacts Operations

The storm caused extensive damage to the Leiria headquarters, including water damage from a broken skylight, power outages, and destruction of three cars.

The company quickly implemented contingency plans:

- 20 employees relocated to Nerlei’s facilities, 15 to Startup Leiria (“People’s House”), others worked remotely.

- Lisbon, Porto, and Braga offices remained fully operational, and international teams reinforced capacity.

- Operations are gradually returning to normal, though some communications in Leiria remain limited.

CEO António Poças highlights that inCentea’s strategic plan targets €50 million turnover by 2028, combining organic growth and M&A while expanding internationally. Despite the storm disruption, the company demonstrates resilience and a commitment to sustaining services and staff continuity.
