German tech company Testo is set to open a new factory in Albergaria-a-Velha this September. The project, which costs €25 million, could create up to 500 jobs and help make the area a key place for innovation.
The factory will make high-tech portable measuring tools and is part of Testo’s plan to grow around the world.
The company, based in Germany, has over 3,700 workers and makes more than €420 million each year.
Testo is also joining the local Business Ambassadors Network, which is part of the “Albergaria Empreende+” program.
This program helps bring in more investment, supports new business ideas, and encourages sustainable growth in the area. Albergaria-a-Velha is home to over 3,120 businesses and has exports worth more than €500 million, showing it’s becoming a major business center in central Portugal.
