By 2026, expect a big shift in how corporate networks are handled. Artificial intelligence (AI) will be at the heart of operations. Dennis Teixeira, Managing Director at HPE Portugal, says that network engineers won’t just set up systems. Instead, they’ll work with AI to handle thousands of endpoints accurately. Their main job will be strategy, not doing things by hand.
Here’s what will change networks by 2026:
- AIOps everywhere: AI will take care of tough spectrum choices, predict congestion, and improve things in real-time. Tuning things by hand will pretty much disappear.
- LANs that think ahead: AI in switches and access points will foresee what services are needed and act before users notice problems. This includes things like automating RMAs.
- Everything in one place: Wired, wireless, WAN, computing, and storage will all work together under one system. Cloud and AI automation will run the show.
- Smart network people: Since automation will handle the routine stuff, engineers can focus on important strategies and team up with AI to improve user experiences.
Basically, networks will act like one smart digital thing. AI will bring operations together, the cloud will allow integration, and people will drive strategic results.
