Sérgio Pereira, known for his roles at ComparaJá.pt and Free Now Portugal, has just raised €1 million for his newest venture: Bitloops, a Portuguese-Greek startup that’s reimagining how design becomes code. With backing from Eleven Ventures, Corallia Ventures, and several angel investors, Bitloops is building a generative AI platform that turns any UI design into clean, production-ready code — in minutes.
“This isn’t just code generation,” says Pereira. “It’s like having a senior engineer as your co-pilot. Bitloops takes static designs and delivers high-quality, reusable code blocks that devs can immediately plug into projects.”
Co-founded with Greek engineer Vasilis Danias, the startup operates from the UK with a remote team spread across Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and India. The team of eight includes frontend developers, AI specialists, and product designers. New hires will focus on React, Next.js, GNN-based ML, and developer advocacy.
Following a successful private alpha tested by over 100 devs, Bitloops aims to launch a public beta by year’s end, start monetizing in 2025, and raise a follow-on round in 2026 to scale globally.
