Location: On-site in Caldas da Rainha

Experience: 4+ Years

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our Product Team. Your role will be crucial to ensure that the architecture of the AR5 and its critical systems meet the highest standards of availability and safety.

What you will do (Product Focus)

  • System Characterization: Deeply analyze the product architecture to identify critical failure points.
  • Metric Calculation: Use advanced methodologies to calculate MTBFs and failure rates, proposing configurations or redundancies to ensure the reliability levels required by the airworthiness team.
  • Risk Analysis: Perform FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) from the early design phases.
  • Practical Tests: Plan and execute stress and reliability tests on components and systems, validating your predictions with actual bench and flight data.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with the purchasing team to validate the reliability of new suppliers and components, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the value chain.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in Reliability Engineering roles (preferably in Aerospace, Defense or Automotive).
  • Technical Mastery: Proven experience in statistical analysis tools and reliability methodologies (e.g. ReliaSoft, FIDES)
  • Hands-on Profile: Ability to transition from theoretical analysis to laboratory tests and interpretation of physical failures.
  • Product Mindset: Someone who understands that reliability is a characteristic of the product that starts on day one of design.
  • Language: Fluency in English (mandatory for the global context of the company).

Differentiating Factor (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in supply chain optimization projects and component obsolescence management.
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines for reliability prediction (MIL-HDBK-217, Telcordia SR-332)
  • Knowledge of aviation industry standards (ARP-4761).

What we have to offer you:

  • We offer an excellent working environment and an opportunity to make a difference.
  • Salary commensurate with proven experience.
  • Daily shuttle from Lisbon and Leiria.

If you are ready to embrace this opportunity, send us your application.
