Teach Lead / Architect

Role Description

As Teach Lead / Architect, you will play a key role in structuring, scaling and delivering Stafiz’s technical vision. You will act as the technical reference of the platform, defining its architecture and actively contributing to the codebase. A team leader is already managing the day-to-day processes and members relationship. Your role will be to create the vision for the platform, and implement it. The platform is built with Laravel (PHP framework), with Vue.js and is hosted on AWS.

1. Definition & Management of the Technical Strategy

- Design and evolve the platform architecture built with Laravel and Vue.js, ensuring scalability, maintainability

- Design and optimize the database architecture with MySQL, ensuring performance, data integrity and efficient data management as the platform scales

- Identify and reduce technical issues while maintaining delivery speed

- Anticipate growth challenges (performance, data volume, integrations, automation)

- Decide about tech stack and orientation

- Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, documentation and security

- Collaborate closely with Product to translate business needs into robust technical solutions

- Participate in roadmap prioritization from a technical feasibility and risk perspective

- Bring technical clarity to business discussions

2. Development, Organisation & Delivery

- Maintain a strong balance between feature development and long-term platform stability

- Ensure smooth and efficient delivery of new features

- Maintain a high level of code quality and engineering standards

- Structure engineering processes adapted to a fast-growing startup environment

- Improving development workflows and technical practices

3. Leadership, Management & Transversal Collaboration

- Act as the technical reference for a team of 7 developers and 2 QA (with the support of the team leader)

- Guide architectural decisions and technical standards

- Mentor developers on complex technical topics

- Work closely with the existing team leader on delivery and team organization

- Support hiring and onboarding of engineers

Main Requirements

- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel / PHP

- Solid experience designing scalable architectures

- Strong knowledge of database architecture (MySQL) and performance optimization

- Experience with AWS infrastructure

- Good knowledge of Vue.js

- You enjoy staying close to the code and solving complex technical challenges yourself.

- Previous experience as Senior Developer, Tech Lead, Architect or CTO

- Strong interest in SaaS platform architecture

- Fluent in English
