About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer or Lead with extensive experience in developing cloud-native data pipelines, preferably in Microsoft environments. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data solutions that support decision-making and the organization's analytics strategies. The ideal profile combines deep technical knowledge with a robust architectural vision and the ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

- Degree (or higher) in Computer Engineering or similar fields.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, focusing on cloud-native solutions and scalable architecture.

- Experience in technical leadership or mentoring (mandatory for Lead profiles).

Technical Skills

- Advanced experience in data architecture and design, covering ingestion, modeling, storage, and orchestration (e.g., Medallion architecture).

- Proficiency in Microsoft data technologies: Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics.

- Experience with data warehouses and data lakes (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift).

- Proficiency in Python (libraries like Pandas, Boto3), SQL, and Spark.

- Good knowledge of RDBMS databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server) or NoSQL (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, GBQ).

- Experience with DevOps/DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data pipelines.

- Ability to implement data validation, lineage, documentation, and monitoring at scale.

- Experience in optimizing pipelines and storage focusing on performance, cost, and reliability.

Behavioral Skills (Soft Skills)

- Ability to assess trade-offs and defend technical decisions with a solid rationale.

- Skill in translating complex concepts into clear terms for non-technical audiences.

- Experience mentoring mid/junior engineers and promoting collaborative practices.

- Strong analytical thinking, capable of breaking down complex problems into actionable steps.

- Accountability for results and a long-term vision for the evolution of the data platform.
