We are looking for a Senior Data Cloud Architect (AWS) to join our data and cloud engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and leading scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data platforms, taking projects from concept through production in complex, enterprise-grade environments.

If you are passionate about cloud-native data architectures, large-scale data platforms, and leading technical initiatives that drive real business impact, this opportunity is for you.

☁️ What you will be doing

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures primarily on AWS.

• Lead data engineering and cloud platform initiatives end to end, from initial design to production deployment.

• Define, implement, and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.

• Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and AWS Glue.

• Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to deploy, manage, and evolve cloud data platforms in a reliable and repeatable way.

• Apply hands-on development in Python and SQL to prototype solutions, solve complex data problems, and set technical standards.

• Ensure performance optimization and efficient data management for large-scale datasets, including technologies such as Iceberg tables, Amazon Redshift, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, security, and business stakeholders), acting as a technical leader and mentor.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, platform evolution, and best practices across the data organization.

🧠 What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and data architecture roles.

• Deep expertise in AWS data services, including Glue, Redshift, Lambda, and Step Functions.

• Proven experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Solid experience in data governance, security, and compliance within enterprise or regulated environments.

• Background in large-scale data migrations, platform modernisation, and performance optimisation initiatives.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.

• Experience working in European corporate environments, preferably within large-scale or regulated organisations.

• Full professional proficiency in English.

🧰 Plus (not required but valued)

• Exposure to Azure data services and Azure Databricks.

• Knowledge of streaming and real-time data technologies such as Kafka and Apache Flink.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data and analytics workloads.

• Familiarity with Dataiku or similar advanced data analytics platforms.

• AWS and/or Azure cloud certifications.

💡 Why join us?

• Lead and shape modern, large-scale cloud data platforms with real business impact.

• Work in a collaborative, high-performing, and technically strong environment.

• Take ownership of complex data architecture challenges in enterprise-grade systems.

• Continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

• A culture that values technical excellence, leadership, and continuous improvement.
