📱 We are looking for a Kubernetes Database Engineer to join the team in Portugal.

đŸ’» What you will do

You will play a key role in the operation of the database layer on Kubernetes platforms:

  • Design, implement and optimize stateful database workloads on Kubernetes, focusing on PostgreSQL
  • Implement persistent storage solutions, backup and restore pipelines, data replication, and HA/DR strategies
  • Automate provisioning, upgrades, and scalability through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent)
  • Monitor and resolve database performance issues and clusters
  • Ensure security standards: RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and network policies
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Development teams to evolve database-as-a-service standards
  • Contribute to international projects and influence future technological decisions
  • Participate in a shift model (10h/day, 5 days/week) with on-call approximately 1 week per month

🧠 What we are looking for

  • Practical experience in database management in Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL in production environments
  • Experience with HA/DR architectures and persistent storage in Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security: RBAC, secrets management, network policies, and encryption
  • Experience in shift or on-call operational models
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly at a technical and business level
