Randstad Digital is currently searching for a talented Head of Engineering to join the team of one of our prestigious clients.
The Head of Engineering to lead our global software development organization. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for a technical visionary who is ready to partner directly with the CEO to shape company-wide strategy. This position offers a clear path to a future CTO role. You will be responsible for overseeing our Frontend, Backend, Quality Assurance, Platform, Corp Tech and Technology Innovation teams, ensuring our platforms scale to meet the needs of an enterprise customer base while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Executive Leadership & Strategic Partnership:
CEO Advisory: Act as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO to define and execute the technology roadmap;
Product Partnership: Work in lockstep with the Head of Product, providing healthy challenge and deep collaboration to balance rapid feature development with long-term architectural stability;
Technology Strategy: Define the technical strategy and architecture, ensuring it remains future-proof, secure, resilient and aligned with the business strategy;
Global Stakeholder Management: Represent the Technology department to internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations) and manage critical external vendor and partner relationships worldwide.
Global Team Management & Mentorship:
Distributed Leadership: Lead, mentor, and uplift a diverse team of onshore and offshore engineers and managers;
Talent Acquisition: Source and recruit new elite technical talent to expand our existing high-performance team.
Culture of Excellence: Foster an inclusive environment that prioritizes career development, accountability, and open communication.
Technical Execution & Innovation:
Architectural Oversight: Provide hands-on guidance for major projects, focusing on scalable, event-driven architectures and cloud-native systems;
AI & Emerging Tech: Lead the Technology team to architect and integrate AI-powered solutions and machine learning into our global platform;
Modern Practices: Drive the consistent use of Agile methodologies, DevOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to optimize delivery velocity;
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
Risk Ownership: Manage and own technology risk across the entire organization, ensuring platform security and proactive mitigation of vulnerabilities;
Infrastructure & Security: Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS) and manage cloud costs while ensuring compliance with industry standards;
Transparency: Refine comprehensive technical documentation to streamline knowledge sharing and improve operational efficiency.
requisitos/requirements
10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing multiple disciplines;
Proven success managing large-scale, distributed global organizations (including vendor and offshore management);
Expertise in architectural design, modern web APIs, and cloud-native systems;
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
Preferred:
Experience leading R&D or Innovation teams specifically focused on AI/ML;
Familiarity with travel, mobility, or high-volume e-commerce platforms;
A strategic mindset with the ambition to grow into a Chief Technology Officer.
