We are looking for an DBA to join the team of our client - a reference company in banking and financial sector.

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

Install, configure and maintain on-premises database systems (e.g., SQL Server and PostgreSQL);
Ensure data backup and recovery policies are in place;
Monitor and optimise database performance (tuning and troubleshooting).
Security and Compliance:
Ensure data protection and integrity by implementing best security practices;
Work to ensure compliance with financial sector regulations (e.g., GDPR and ISO 27001);
Ensure the application of security patches and other updates that contribute to the security and performance of DBMSs.
Development and Support:
Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to model and structure databases;
Support internal teams with complex SQL queries and troubleshooting issues related to database engine performance;
Monitor database growth and forecast growth requirements;
Help define strategies and implement measures to combat obsolescence through technological modernisation.
Documentation:
Create and maintain technical documentation relating to configurations, policies and processes.

What is required from you?

At least 3 years' proven experience as a DBA;
Advanced knowledge of on-premises SQL Server DBMS management;
Proficiency in SQL scripting and automation tools;
Knowledge of high-availability and resilience strategies (replication, clustering, Always On);
Experience with Postgres;
Experience in managing performance incidents and database fine-tuning;
Background in Network and Systems Administration (Windows and Linux OS);
Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing;
Experience with virtualisation technologies;
Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards.
