We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to integrate/join a hybrid project in Lisbon.

Salary range: 54k – 55k annual gross.

Profile:

  • 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience;
  • Strong experience with NestJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL;
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, API design, and database modelling;
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines;
  • Experience documenting and testing APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and Postman;
  • Microsoft Azure experience is a strong plus;
  • Passion for clean, maintainable, well-tested software;
  • Fluent English.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and extending our backend platform with NestJS and TypeScript;
  • Building reliable REST APIs and WebSocket services;
  • Designing scalable data models and translating complex planning requirements into robust database structures;
  • Working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL;
  • Taking ownership of deployment, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD on Microsoft Azure;
  • Driving engineering quality through code reviews, testing, documentation, and architectural decisions;
  • Collaborating closely with AI, frontend, product, and QA to build systems that people rely on for high-consequence planning decisions.
