Mid Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Mid Machine Learning Engineer to join a hybrid project in Lisbon.

Salary range: 35.050€ – 45.400€ annual gross.

Profile:

• Professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Machine Learning field.
• Minimum B2 level proficiency in English (oral and written).
• Strong Python programming skills (OOP, design patterns, clean code, pytest/unittest).
• Solid experience in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and pipeline integration.
• Hands-on expertise with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and model-serving APIs (FastAPI, Flask).
• Experience deploying models using Docker/Kubernetes and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Practical understanding of MLOps fundamentals (Git versioning, code reviews, model deployment, monitoring).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for ML workloads.
• Pragmatic problem-solver comfortable building MLOps practices from scratch in an open, non-hierarchical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Package, deploy, and productionize machine learning models developed by the data science team.
• Build, support, and maintain ML-focused CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Establish model monitoring and alerting mechanisms in production to track performance and failures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable Python code aligned with team standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on model integration and data transformations.
• Optimize model performance, response times, and operational efficiency in production.
• Support the team in establishing and automating MLOps practices from the ground up.
