AI Product Engineer

The Role

As an AI Engineer, you will integrate agile and multidisciplinary squads, connecting GenAI, data engineering, and software engineering — primarily in GCP — with a direct impact on NOS's internal operations.

The role has a strong focus on production and integration: hardening, testing, deployment, observability, and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate GenAI solutions in production, including RAG with reranking and filters over internal sources (documents and structured data)
• Develop agents with controlled autonomy, based on defined workflows and guardrails, with auditing and risk control
• Build and maintain eval suites (datasets, metrics, and regressions) and quality gates in CI, protecting the releases. Implement security mechanisms: PII protection, policy compliance, constraints, and structured logging for auditing
• Build scalable and reliable data pipelines in GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Pub/Sub), with services in Cloud Run, in batch, and streaming. Develop internal API services, with metrics and alerts
• Apply classical Machine Learning (scoring, support models, features) whenever it adds value, with a production mindset. Desired Profile

Desired Profile

• Practical experience in delivering data/ML software in production (Master's valued but not mandatory). Solid Python: readable, testable, and versioned code, with code review practice.
• Experience with data pipelines (batch and/or streaming)
• Applied experience in GenAI: RAG, agents, guardrails, and/or evals, in addition to experimental prompting. Reliability and operation mindset: logging, metrics, troubleshooting
• Differentiating factors: Experience with GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run; Vertex AI is a plus)
• Observability and cost management (tokens, latency)
• Experience with structured evals and regressions in GenAI. Event-driven systems, streaming, and integrations via APIs. Experience in multidisciplinary squads, focused on impact and metrics.
