Role Overview:

We are looking for a Cloud Data Platform Architect to join our team and support one of our clients in designing, developing, and optimizing a large-scale cloud data platform. You will play a key role in the architecture of secure, scalable, high-performance data solutions, guiding the evolution of cloud-based data ecosystems and driving standards of excellence in engineering.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for architecting and designing cloud-based data platforms using AWS services and Terraform, leading large-scale data migrations, optimization and modernization initiatives, prototyping and defining coding standards in Python and SQL, ensuring high-quality engineering practices. Manage Iceberg tables and build scalable data pipelines with Airflow or Step Functions, ensuring governance, security, and best CI/CD practices.

What you are like:

- Degree in Computer Engineering or similar;

- Proficient in architecting cloud data solutions on AWS, with additional knowledge in Azure;

- Skilled in Python and SQL, with the ability to define coding standards and develop prototypes;

- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and deploying cloud platforms;

- Proficient in orchestrating data pipelines using tools like Airflow or Step Functions;

- Experience in data governance, applying security and best architectural practices;

- Comfortable defining CI/CD strategies tailored to data engineering;

- Knowledgeable of ETL/ELT processes and able to work with high-volume data environments;

- Fluent in English.
