The Group Leader in Software Development / Software Engineering Manager will supervise and guide a team of software developers in the manufacturing of IoT devices related to Public Safety Management.
This position is located in Ovar, in the Aveiro region, and requires strong technical experience and leadership skills to ensure project success and team efficiency.

Description
- Manage and lead a team of software developers to achieve project objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee software development projects from conception to completion.
- Establish and maintain software engineering processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align software development with business goals.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure that deliveries are made on time.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Report progress and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
Profile
A successful Group Leader in Software Development / Software Engineering Manager should possess:
- Hands-on experience in software development.
- Experience in developing multidisciplinary products (HW, FW, SW).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe in leadership roles, planning, monitoring, and as Scrum Master;
- Experience with hybrid waterfall/agile projects;
- Experience with embedded software;
- Experience leading technical teams across various locations, connecting, inspiring, and motivating people;
- Excellent team leadership skills;
- Excellent communicator;
- Availability to travel between company facilities and clients, including internationally;
- Specific knowledge in communication systems is an advantage;
- Experience as a Product Owner or Test Architect is an advantage.
