As a Senior Java Developer – Risk Applications and DevOps Expertise, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry, focused on building and maintaining critical risk management applications. You will play a pivotal role in evolving and optimizing core systems, contributing to a safer financial ecosystem, and fostering continuous innovation.

Your main responsibilities:

• Integrate into and collaborate with a dynamic development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Perform evolutive and corrective maintenance of risk applications built in Java (core and Swing).
• Gather, document, examine, and manage application requirements within an Agile environment.
• Critically analyze existing processes and proactively suggest performance improvements.
• Engage with CI/CD pipelines, TDD, and DevOps practices to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Contribute to the enhancement of application runtime environments, including memory management and process optimization.
• Utilize development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Docker to streamline workflows.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Java software development, particularly in risk or financial applications.
• Strong expertise in Java, SQL Server, Docker, and related development technologies.
• Proven experience with CI/CD, TDD, and DevOps methodologies.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and application runtime environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and requirement management.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Solid analytical skills with a focus on performance optimization.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification or experience in related DevOps tools and processes.
• Experience with Control-M, XL Deploy, or similar deployment automation tools.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English command (verbal and written).
• Portuguese or French fluency.
