Senior fullstack java/angular developer – insurance project

Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week).

As a Senior Fullstack Java/Angular Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the insurance industry. You will help build and enhance complex legacy systems, supporting digital transformation initiatives that improve customer experiences and operational efficiency. Your main responsibilities:

• Understand and take ownership of requirements to ensure accurate development and delivery
• Support Product Owners and Business Analysts in drafting clear acceptance criteria
• Develop business, application, and technical requirements aligned with project goals
• Assist in prioritizing user stories, ensuring technical prerequisites are met
• Review and validate merge requests to maintain high code quality
• Document all developed user stories for traceability and knowledge sharing
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies to promote continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with the Definition of Done (DoD) and best practices

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior Fullstack Developer, with strong Java and Angular expertise
• Proven experience with Java 8, 17, 21; Angular 3; Spring Boot, HTML, TypeScript
• Familiarity with GitLab, IntelliJ, Jenkins, Maven, Oracle 19c/Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
• Solid understanding of REST API development and integration
• Experience working within Agile methodologies
• Excellent proactivity, communication, and reporting skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Additional certifications in Java or frontend frameworks
• Experience working within insurance or financial services

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Fluency in French (spoken and written) is a plus
