As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking industry. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing and enhancing critical database systems that drive operational excellence, innovation, and efficiency across financial services. Join a dynamic team in the vibrant city of Porto and contribute to shaping the future of banking technology.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain SQL Server databases (2012-2022) to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Debug and troubleshoot database issues, implementing high-performance solutions
  • Utilize PowerShell and T-SQL for scripting and querying to streamline processes
  • Manage AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Mirroring for high availability and disaster recovery
  • Administer SSAS and SSRS for analytics, reporting, and decision support
  • Support Windows Failover Cluster environments to guarantee system resilience and uptime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and continuous improvements in database architecture

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a senior or expert capacity
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese
  • Experience with ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution
  • Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, and/or SingleStore is a plus
  • Strong team collaboration and effective communication skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Certifications in database management or related fields

Fluent English and Portuguese
