Senior Data Engineer – Teradata and UNIX Environment

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the data management industry, dedicated to delivering robust data solutions that drive strategic decisions. This role offers the chance to shape impactful data ecosystems and foster technological advancement within a dynamic environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Teradata and SQL within a UNIX environment.
  • Manage and maintain control modules with CONTROL-M scheduling tools.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of data systems.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance.
  • Document technical procedures and deliverables to ensure transparency and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Engage in continuous learning to identify innovative solutions and improve processes.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to project milestones.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Teradata, SQL, and UNIX environments.
  • Experience with CONTROL-M, and tools like GIT, Jira, Confluence, MEGA, Zeenea.
  • Solid understanding of data management and pipeline orchestration.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and adapt to evolving project needs.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Ab Initio.
  • Certifications related to data engineering or cloud platforms.

Language Required for the role:

  • Fluent English speaker, with excellent command of business communication.
