Senior Application Support Engineer – Linux, Windows & Automation

As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading international IT company dedicated to delivering robust, scalable solutions across various industries. Your role will focus on ensuring the seamless operation of complex applications, collaborating across technical teams, and optimizing overall system performance to support core business functions. Your main responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve production incidents promptly to minimize system downtime and ensure high availability.
• Coordinate and oversee technical operations, including disaster recovery procedures, backups, and restore tests.
• Collaborate with development, sysadmin, and network teams to implement changes and enhancements in applications and infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate documentation of application architecture, operational procedures, and incident resolutions.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, ensuring compliance with SLAs and security standards.
• Optimize application load capacity, troubleshoot performance issues, and contribute to automation initiatives for operational efficiency.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 6+ years of experience in application support or relevant IT roles.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of database management and infrastructure backup procedures.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Elastic Stack.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, LDAP, and security tools such as Firewalls, Active Directory, and Kerberos.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks.
• Experience with automation tools and process improvement methodologies.

Language Required for the role:

Fluent English – excellent verbal and written communication skills.
