Mid to Senior Application Support Engineer – Critical Systems on Linux and Windows

As a Mid to Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization focused on critical application infrastructure and operations. You’ll play a vital role in managing and supporting complex systems that drive key business functions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Your main responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve production incidents swiftly to minimize downtime and impact.
• Coordinate and oversee technical operations, including disaster recovery and backup tests.
• Collaborate with development, sysadmin, and network teams to manage application and infrastructure changes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of application architecture and operational procedures.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with SLAs and security standards.
• Optimize application load capacity and contribute to automation efforts to improve efficiency.
• Implement performance enhancements and troubleshoot system issues proactively.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in application support roles.
• Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating environments.
• Experience with Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of databases and infrastructure backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience with monitoring tools, including Elastic Stack.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, LDAP, and security tools like Firewalls, Active Directory, and Kerberos.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications in Linux, Windows Server, or related fields.
• Experience working in multilingual environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or automation tools.
