Opportunity based in Lisbon with a hybrid work model.
As an Intermediate QA/Functional Tester – Insurance Domain, you will work for our client, a leader in the insurance industry. You will help design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure high-quality software solutions in the insurance sector, contributing to innovative projects that shape the future of the industry.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design and implement detailed test plans to verify that User Stories meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Develop and document test cases, acceptance criteria, and verifiable test scenarios based on User Story specifications.
- Manually execute functional, regression, and integration tests to validate compliance with requirements.
- Execute automated test scripts to validate User Stories, identify regressions, and clearly document defects.
- Collaborate with developers to communicate defects and suggest quality improvements based on testing results.
- Support estimating testing efforts and complexities during Agile planning sessions.
- Identify automation tasks for APIs, write automation scenarios, prepare test data, validate automation, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automation scripts to validate User Stories or analyze post-development control results.
- Interact methodologically with the “Testing” chapter and other teams as necessary, ensuring effective communication and quality assurance.
You are ideal for this role if you have:
- More than 4 years of QA/testing experience in the insurance or financial domain.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks such as Cucumber and Karma/Jasmine/Jest.
- Experience with API testing and automation, including creating automation scenarios and validating automated scripts.
- Practical understanding of Agile methodologies and delivering tests within such environments.
- Knowledge of life insurance processes and related functional areas.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English and French.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with up to 2 remote days per week.
It's a big plus if you have:
- Proficiency with backend testing tools such as JUnit or Bruno.
- Certification or experience in advanced automation techniques.
Language required for the role:
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- French (written and spoken) at level B1/B2.
