Mid-Level Power BI and Dataiku Data Engineer – Analytics and AI Integration

Porto-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 days remote per week).

As a Mid-Level Power BI and Dataiku Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in data-driven innovation and AI integration. You will help transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting advanced analytics and Generative AI initiatives that propel the business forward. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business requirements.
• Build efficient data models in Power BI, adhering to best practices for measures, KPIs, and data storytelling.
• Perform data preparation and feature engineering using Dataiku’s visual recipes and code-based workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure datasets are clean, reliable, and analytics-ready.
• Contribute to data science workflows within Dataiku, including exploratory data analysis and model testing.
• Support Generative AI use cases, such as prompt-based analytics, LLM integrations, and AI-assisted insights.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability across reporting and analytical assets.
• Participate in documentation, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices within the team.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 3–6 years of experience in BI, Analytics, or Data-related roles.
• Hands-on expertise with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization principles.
• Proven experience working with Dataiku for data preparation and analytics workflows.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling.
• Experience in preparing datasets for analytics or machine learning applications.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of data science concepts such as statistics and ML fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Python and/or SQL.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience building or supporting machine learning models within Dataiku.
• Exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based use cases, such as embeddings or prompt engineering.
• Experience with cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of data governance and model lifecycle management.
