Junior AI Data Engineer – Machine Learning & Data Processing

As a Junior AI Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, a dynamic player in the AI and data science industry. You will contribute to cutting-edge projects focused on model training, evaluation, and simple deployment, supporting the development of intelligent systems that transform data into actionable insights. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your expertise through impactful AI use cases and innovative data processing.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Assist in AI/ML model training, evaluation, and deployment using Python and related tools.
  • Support data processing pipelines and work with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate on the development of AI solutions utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Transformers.
  • Participate in the setup and management of cloud services such as AWS S3, SageMaker, or Bedrock.
  • Engage with DevOps/MLOps tools like GitLab, Docker, and Airflow to streamline workflows.
  • Contribute to experiments involving Generative AI, RAG, and reasoning patterns.
  • Support data ingestion and handling via APIs, vector databases, and graph databases where applicable.
  • Follow Agile methodologies to ensure iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • 1+ year of experience or hands-on projects related to AI/ML, data processing, or software development.
  • Basic programming skills in Python; familiarity with SQL and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Introductory knowledge or experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, SageMaker, Bedrock).
  • Understanding of DevOps/MLOps tools like Docker, GitLab, or Airflow is a plus.
  • Awareness of Generative AI concepts and initial exposure to vector or graph databases.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies.

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks.
  • Knowledge of APIs, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Guards, or A2A.
  • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop approaches or multi-agent systems.

Fluent in English and French
