As a Senior Python Backend Developer – Financial Services, you will be working for our client, a leader in the financial industry dedicated to shaping innovative banking solutions. You will contribute to building robust backend systems that support mission-critical financial services, pushing the boundaries of technology and enhancing user experience. Your main responsibilities:

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend logic using Python and FastAPI, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate REST APIs, optimize data flows, and improve system responsiveness.
Design, implement, and optimize database schemas in relational databases, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
Contribute to the application of best practices in version control, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues proactively, ensuring system stability and security.
Adopt DevOps practices by working with CI/CD pipelines and basic containerization tools (Docker) as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative financial solutions aligned with client’s strategic goals.
Write clean, reliable, and well-documented code, maintaining high standards of quality and security.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

Over 9 years of professional experience in software development, with strong backend expertise.
Hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Proven skills in developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases (SQL).
Mid-level experience with Angular and TypeScript for frontend integration.
Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive web design.
Knowledge of Git, Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), and basic CI/CD concepts.
Experience in structured corporate environments with security and coding standards.
Basic familiarity with Docker or containerization (preferred).

It is a strong plus if you have:

Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.
Basic knowledge of security guidelines in software development.
Additional certifications or skills in DevOps or containerization.

Language requirements:

Fluent in Portuguese.
Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
French language skills are a plus.
